DO DEFIANT RESIDENTS DESERVE SUCH INHUMANE TREATMENT? Angry palace executioners and some police officers at the Sunyani traditional area in the Bono Region have been caught in a video assaulting some residents for defying funeral orders in the area. The residents following the death of their late queen mother, Nana Yaa Nyamah were expected to comply with some rules that were announced prior to the burial of their queen. They were expected to be clad in mourning attires with no one wearing jewellery. My Expiry Date I dreaded. "You won't learn how to cook erh! if you don't learn how to cook, and you get married, your husband will put your soup in a bottle and bring it home" that was the sentence i kept hearing from my mom growing up. i would laugh about it and tell her that well, if my soup is brought to her, it would be at her discredit.  Cooking has never been something i love doing. i see it as a chore and always felt like if that is the only reason a man will marry me then i might never get married because i believe my value is worth more than just cooking.
